Cao Jiong was a member of the Cao Wei imperial clan and a distant ancestor of Cao Fang. He appears in historical records but not in the Romance of the Three Kingdoms.
Deeds
Cao Jiong submitted a memorial titled “Treatise on the Six Dynasties,” discussing the successes and failures of hereditary enfeoffment throughout the ages. He stressed the importance of the imperial clan serving as a bulwark, hoping this would prompt Cao Shuang to reflect, but Cao Shuang did not take his advice. (Recorded in historical sources)
