Terms of Service
Last updated: 2026-05-24
Thanks for using Three Kingdoms Odyssey. These terms set out the agreement between you and us about the service. Please read them before using the site. We have tried to keep them readable.
Acceptance
By accessing or using Three Kingdoms Odyssey (the 'service'), you confirm you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the service. If the law where you live requires a higher age to consent to online services, you must be at least that age.
Account responsibilities
Some features require an account. Use a real email address, keep your password secure, and take responsibility for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you notice unauthorized use.
Acceptable use
You agree not to: scrape, mirror, or systematically copy the service without written permission; circumvent or interfere with rate limits, paywalls, or access controls; upload illegal, harassing, fraudulent, infringing, or malware-bearing content; abuse AI endpoints for bulk generation, deception, hate, or illegal content; interfere with service stability or security (e.g. load testing, exploiting vulnerabilities); or impersonate others or misrepresent your relationship with us.
If your research, teaching, or personal-hobby use needs more permissive scraping or integration, write to us — we will almost certainly say yes.
Content and rights
Source texts: the Records of the Three Kingdoms (三国志), the Romance of the Three Kingdoms (三国演义), and similar source documents are themselves in the public domain and may be freely used.
Our content: the source code, interface, maps, AI-generated text and images, and the arrangement and presentation of all of the above are protected by copyright and related rights, owned by the operator.
Your content: you keep ownership of what you submit in conversations or interactions ('user content'). You grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to host, display, and transmit that content as needed to provide the service to you. The license terminates when you delete the content or account (backups may retain copies until they rotate).
AI-generated content
The service makes heavy use of AI-generated summaries, commentary, and dialogue. AI output may contain factual errors, stylized interpretations, or hallucinated inferences, and should not be treated as authoritative historical conclusions, legal advice, medical advice, or financial advice. Every sentence tagged [c:N] links to a specific citation in the source corpus — defer to those source passages.
Subscriptions and payments
Paid features are processed by Stripe. Subscriptions renew monthly or annually at the price shown at checkout. You can cancel any time from your account via Stripe's customer portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You authorize us and Stripe to charge your payment method at the start of each billing period.
Refunds
If the service itself fails in a serious way that prevents you from using what you paid for, email us and we will pro-rate a refund. Otherwise subscription fees are non-refundable, but you can cancel at any time to avoid the next charge. Mandatory refund rights under your local law (such as the EU 'cooling-off' period) are unaffected.
Third-party services
The service depends on the following third parties; by using the service you also accept their terms: Supabase (database and identity), Stripe (payments), Cloudflare (CDN and object storage), Google Vertex AI / Gemini (AI inference), and Fly.io (application hosting).
Termination
You can stop using the service and delete your account from settings at any time.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, abuse the service, or where required by law. We will try to notify you before termination, but may act immediately in urgent safety situations.
Disclaimer
The service is provided 'as is' and 'as available', without express or implied warranties of continuous availability, accuracy, security, or fitness for any particular purpose. AI-generated content is not a statement of fact.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages (including loss of data, profits, or opportunity) arising from use of, or inability to use, the service.
Our cumulative liability is capped, in any event, at the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose or (b) USD 20.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify us against reasonable losses and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from third-party claims caused by your breach of these terms or misuse of the service.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the operator's place of residence, and disputes will be submitted to the competent courts of that location. If you reside in a jurisdiction with stronger mandatory consumer protection (such as the EU, UK, or California), the non-waivable rights under that local law are unaffected by these terms.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the 'last updated' date at the top of this page, and registered users will be notified by email or in-app where reasonable. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
Entire agreement
These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us concerning the service, superseding any prior written or oral communications about it.
