Liao Shi was a commander under Wu general Jiang Mi. Historical records say he rebelled; the novel does not mention him.
Deeds
- When Wu general Jiang Mi led a campaign south against the Yi rebels, Liao Shi killed Yan Gang, the Administrator of Linhe, and others. He declared himself General Who Pacifies the South and, together with his younger brother Liao Qian, attacked Lingling and Guiyang. He also stirred unrest in Cangwu, Yulin, and other commanderies in Jiaozhou, gathering tens of thousands of followers (according to historical records).
- Lü Dai and others were ordered to put down the rebellion. After a year of campaigning, they defeated Liao Shi, killed him and Fei Yang, whom he had appointed Administrator of Linhe, and pacified the affected commanderies and counties (according to historical records).
