故督郵頓子獻得病已差,詣佗視脈,曰:「尚虛,未得復,勿為勞事,御內即死。臨死,當吐舌數寸。」其妻聞其病除,從百餘里來省之,止宿交接,中間三日發病,一如佗言。
Dun Zixian was a former postal inspector in the late Eastern Han dynasty. He is mentioned in Records of the Three Kingdoms, juan 29, but does not appear in the Romance of the Three Kingdoms.
Deeds
Hua Tuo examined Dun Zixian and concluded that although he had recovered from his illness, his body was still weak. He warned him not to overexert himself or have sexual relations, or he would die; before his death, he would spit out a tongue several inches long (as recorded in the histories).
After hearing that he had recovered, Dun Zixian’s wife came from more than a hundred li away to visit him, stayed the night, and had sexual relations with him. Three days later, he fell ill, just as Hua Tuo had predicted.
